Dreams FC has finalized the transfer of 18-year-old winger Abdul Aziz Issah to Spanish giants FC Barcelona, with the deal completed on transfer deadline day.
Issah, recognized as one of CAF’s top young talents, gained prominence last season with an impressive showing in the CAF Confederation Cup.
He scored four goals and made two assists in ten matches, helping Dreams FC reach a historic semi-final where they narrowly lost to Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek.
In the Ghana Premier League, Issah made a significant impact with 17 goal involvements—seven goals and ten assists. His performance in the FA Cup was equally notable, with four goals in five matches. On the international stage, he played a key role in Ghana’s U20 team, which secured gold at the Africa Games.
Having developed through Dreams FC’s youth system, as well as playing for Still Believe and In God We Trust FC, Issah’s transfer to Barcelona represents a major milestone for the club.
He is set to join Barca Athletic in the Primera Federación – Group 1, Spain’s third tier, but may also have opportunities with the first team under manager Hansi Flick if he excels.
Issah is the second Ghanaian to join Barcelona this summer, following left-back David Oduro. Dreams FC wishes Issah all the best as he embarks on this exciting new chapter.
