Ghana’s U20 team, the Black Satellites, have been given a tough draw ahead of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast this April.
Placed in Group A, the Black Satellites will face hosts Ivory Coast, Tanzania and DR Congo. They will be joined by another team from UNIFFAC 2.
This marks Ghana’s return to the tournament for the first time since their victory in 2021, where they were crowned champions.
In Group B, West African powerhouses Nigeria will compete alongside North African sides Morocco and Egypt, as well as South Africa.
Defending champions Senegal, Zambia, Kenya, and Sierra Leone make up Group C.
The tournament kicks off on April 26 and concludes on May 16, 2025, with the top two teams securing qualification for the U20 World Cup.
