Fafraha, Ghana – February 12, 2025 – The highly anticipated CroXItOut Campaign was officially launched at Fafraha Community Senior High School, bringing together students, teachers, and school authorities for an impactful educational experience. In line with the theme “Crossing Out Limits & Building Futures through Awareness, Mentorship & Action,” this year’s CroXItOut Campaign will go beyond breast cancer awareness to address mental health, period poverty, career guidance, and other key issues affecting young women.

The event commenced at 8:00 AM with a comprehensive breast cancer education session led by Yvonne Mensah, a Public Health Nurse from Legon Hospital. Through her engaging presentation, students and staff gained valuable knowledge about breast cancer, early detection methods, and the importance of regular check-ups.

Following the health education session, Naana Lexis Akosua Obenewaa Opoku-Agyemang, General Manager of McPhilix Foods, delivered a powerful pep talk on the topic, “Your Worth, Your Power – Overcoming Self-Doubt and Negative Influences.” She encouraged students to believe in their potential, make positive choices, and resist societal pressures that may hinder their growth.

Adding an element of fun and entertainment, the event also featured a performance by LaliXLola, who thrilled the audience with their hit songs and the CroXItOut theme song. The duo also engaged the students with an inspiring pep talk on “Social Media & Self-Image – Managing the Pressures of the Digital World.” Their insights encouraged students to develop a healthy relationship with social media and maintain confidence in their self-worth beyond online validation.

The event’s highlight was the official launch of the CroXItOut Campaign by Julius Schandorf, the Project Manager. During his address, he emphasized the campaign’s mission and announced our new title sponsor for this year’s campaign GERMOL, whose commitment to health and youth empowerment made the initiative possible.

Germol, a brand under Shalina, is a brand of antiseptic and disinfectant products that can be used on the skin, for laundry, and to disinfect surfaces. Germol products include soap, cream, liquid, and handwash.

The launch at Fafraha Community SHS marks the beginning of a series of engagements under the CroXItOut High School Tour, which will see 15 stops in highschools across the country, and a major music festival to crown it all off on the 18th of October, 2025.
