PMX Films Foundation in partnership with KGL Foundation has launched an initiative dubbed the ‘Film In Me’ aimed at empowering young people through a free video training programme.

This innovative program is designed to provide aspiring filmmakers, videographers, and digital content creators with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the dynamic and fast-growing media industry.

The free video training programme, offers  a  comprehensive instruction in various aspects of video production, including scriptwriting, cinematography, editing, and post-production.

Participants have the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment, and develop a portfolio of work to showcase their talents.

Director of PMX Films Foundation, Kofi Yeboah, expressed his enthusiasm for the program, stating, “Our goal is to equip young people with the tools they need to tell their own stories and make their mark in the media industry. We believe that by providing free, high-quality training, we can help unlock the potential of the next generation of filmmakers and content creators.”

The program is open to young people aged 16-25, with no prior experience required. PMX Films Foundation is committed to ensuring that the opportunity is accessible to all, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds who may not have the resources to pursue formal education in video production.

Eugene Appiah, a renowned filmmaker and one of the programme’s lead instructors, expressed his excitement about mentoring the next generation of filmmakers. “This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to explore their creativity and develop technical skills. I’m thrilled to be part of a programme that not only teaches the craft of filmmaking but also encourages personal and artistic growth.”

In addition to technical training, the programme will offer guidance on career development, including portfolio building, networking, and navigating the film industry. Graduates of the programme will also have the chance to intern with PMX Films, gaining real-world experience and further honing their skills.

The curriculum also includes both theoretical and practical components, with workshops, group projects, and individual assignments.
