Erica is my name, a 21-year-old student of U.E.W. I’m in level two hundred and I’m dating a guy in level three hundred. We started dating a few weeks after I reported to school in level hundred. I literally do the wifey duties for him, sometimes I use my pocket money to get him what he doesn’t have but needs. I don’t ask him for money, the only thing I expect from him honestly is his attention and care.
Let’s call this boy Theo. Theo has never in his life got me a gift on his own, I give him random gifts and my roommates have been insulting me over this but I’m not bothered because of my love for him. During this year’s Valentine, I decided not to gift him, to my surprise Theo in the evening brought me a package, I opened it and it was a T-shirt and my favourite milk and there was chocolate in the box with a bouquet of flowers. In fact, I was excited because it was rare and surprising. Afterwards I texted him appreciating him but I never heard from him again.
Days passed without him checking on me, I got so worried and decided to step up my efforts to check on him and to my surprise there was a lady in his hostel room. The lady told me her “sugar” had stepped out. I was really broken but I hid it and went back to my room, I cried the whole night till I feel asleep. I couldn’t attend lectures for two days and I told whoever asked me that I was fine.
I couldn’t open up to anyone because I was scared to be mocked so I confronted him and he rendered apologies for his actions. Honestly, I love Theo and I don’t know if I can do without him. I lost both my parents in January and it has affected me in so many ways, things ain’t like before even though my Auntie vowed to be footing my bills. I still don’t ask Theo for anything because he’s a student and not working. My iPad and iPhone XR were stolen when thieves broke into our room and since then I’ve been using Tecno but Theo that was using iPhone X has swapped for 12 and even more has swapped that for an iPhone 15. Does he even care about me?
Because of my love for Theo, I didn’t hesitate when he asks me for something, thing really got hard since January but I met this married man, let’s call him Pascal. I met Pascal during my internal clinicals and we exchanged contact and moved on, I thought it wise to be using him, but I wanted Theo not to find out because I love him. This man has not given me money on a free base before, he sexes me out whenever I need money and it’s okay for me because he is footing all my bills. He also gave me money for my school fees last month and I gave the money to Theo to pay his fees since he is also owing hoping that I will get some more from Pascal.
Theo has been moving up and down with different girls in my class, he denies me when his mates ask of him. Exams is in three weeks and my fees are not paid. I’m not of sound mind because Pascal and I are not in good talking terms now, I’m really broken, I’ve used all the money in my account. Where do I go? What do I do? Please fix my broken pen.
