VeVerify Introduces Instant Import Duty Estimates for Vehicles Being Shipped to Ghana

91

VeVerify, Ghana’s vehicle information and verification platform, has introduced a new feature that enables users to obtain an estimated import duty cost for vehicles they intend to purchase and ship to Ghana.

Available at www.veverify.app, the Import Duty Estimator provides prospective vehicle importers with an instant estimate of the duty they may be required to pay when their vehicle arrives in Ghana.

The feature has been developed to address one of the biggest uncertainties associated with importing a vehicle: understanding the potential landed cost before committing to the purchase.

For many buyers, the advertised price of a vehicle overseas represents only one part of the total financial commitment. Shipping, import duties and other related charges can significantly affect the final cost. Without a reasonable estimate of these expenses, buyers may purchase vehicles that ultimately exceed their budgets.

Through VeVerify’s platform, users can enter the relevant details of a vehicle they are considering importing and receive an estimated duty cost to support their budgeting and purchasing decisions.

Speaking about the new feature, Charles Clifford BROBBEY Founding Partner – Ch Technologies said:

“We want people to make informed decisions before committing their money to a vehicle overseas. The Import Duty Estimator gives users an early indication of the possible duty cost, helping them assess the complete financial commitment and avoid unpleasant surprises when the vehicle arrives in Ghana.”

The new functionality expands VeVerify’s commitment to improving transparency and confidence within the vehicle acquisition process. In addition to helping users investigate the available history of vehicles before purchase, the platform can now support buyers in estimating the import duty associated with vehicles sourced from overseas.

The feature will be promoted through VeVerify’s ongoing collaboration with MX24 under the “Verify Before You Buy” campaign. The campaign will include educational television content, digital communication and practical demonstrations showing users how to access and use the Import Duty Estimator.

Viewers will also be taken through the information required to generate an estimate and how the resulting figure can support comparisons between different vehicles before a final purchasing decision is made.

The Import Duty Estimator complements VeVerify’s core vehicle-history service. Together, the features allow prospective buyers to consider two important questions before purchasing a vehicle overseas:

  • What does the available history reveal about the vehicle?
  • What could it cost to import the vehicle into Ghana?

By providing access to both sets of information on one platform, VeVerify aims to support safer, better-informed and more financially prepared vehicle purchases.

Users can access the Import Duty Estimator today at www.veverify.app.

Important Notice

Figures generated through the VeVerify Import Duty Estimator are estimates intended to support preliminary planning and decision-making. Final import duties, taxes and related charges remain subject to assessment by the relevant Ghanaian authorities at the time of importation.
