The Amasaman High Court has adjourned the appeal hearing of former fetish priestess turned evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, to February 5, 2026, for judgment.
Nana Agradaa is appealing against both her conviction and sentence, arguing that the trial was unfair and that the evidence presented did not support the verdict.
She is also challenging the 15-year custodial sentence imposed on July 3, 2025, after she was found guilty of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence, describing the punishment as excessive.
Speaking to Citi News after proceedings on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, explained that the adjournment resulted from the Attorney-General’s failure to comply with earlier directives of the court.
According to him, the delay was caused by technical challenges related to electronic evidence required for the appeal. He added that the defence team opposed a request by the Attorney-General’s Office for an extension of time.
Following the objection, the court fixed February 5, 2026, as the date for delivering judgment, while granting the Attorney-General’s Office the option to file written addresses if it so chooses.
“The court has adjourned the case to February 5, 2026, to deliver its judgment. By then, the Office of the Attorney-General will have the opportunity to file its written addresses, if it is minded to do so,” Mr Baffour said.
