Executive Director of the Bright Future Alliance, Bright Ofori, has rated President John Dramani Mahama’s 10 months in office since January 2025, a rating of 7 out of 10, applauding the administration’s progress across key sectors while urging stronger action to tackle persistent national challenges.

In his assessment, Ofori identified the Energy, Foreign Affairs and Finance Ministries as the government’s top-performing sectors, acknowledging their significant contributions toward national development and stability.

Despite his commendation, he pointed out several areas that require urgent attention, including illegal mining (galamsey), corruption and unemployment — challenges he believes continue to hinder the nation’s progress.

Bright Ofori in a post cited by MX24 News, however, maintained that while the President may not have caused these issues, he bears the responsibility of addressing them as part of his mandate.

“He did not cause them. But he was voted to solve them. Hence, we shall hold him accountable should he fail to,” Ofori remarked.

Bright Ofori concluded by describing the government’s performance so far as “impressive,” expressing optimism that with continued focus and accountability, the administration can achieve greater results.
