New GOC Executives pay courtesy call on Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams

The newly elected leadership of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), led by President Mr. Richard Akpokavie Esq., paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, on May 13, 2025.

The visit was to formally introduce the new executives and seek the Minister’s support as they begin their tenure.

Hon. Adams commended the GOC for a peaceful elective congress and praised their integration of the Commonwealth Games Association.

He encouraged greater female participation in sports leadership and emphasized teamwork, stating, “We will succeed only when we work together.”

Mr. Akpokavie thanked the Minister for his support and assured him of the GOC’s commitment to the growth of sports in Ghana.

The meeting was attended by several GOC executives and board members.
