Tottenham looked destined for victory after set-piece goals from Micky van de Ven and new captain Cristian Romero put them in control. Yet Luis Enrique’s side, still shaking off their post-Club World Cup fatigue, found fresh legs and belief in the dying moments.
Lee Kang-in struck in the 85th minute to ignite hope, before Gonçalo Ramos completed the comeback with a towering stoppage-time header. The goals stunned Spurs and set the stage for a tense shootout.
PSG wobbled early when Vitinha missed their opening spot-kick, but Tottenham faltered too. Van de Ven and young Mathys Tel failed to convert, leaving Nuno Mendes to seal a fifth piece of silverware in 2025 for the French champions.
For Thomas Frank, this was a bittersweet first competitive match in charge of Spurs.
