Manchester City showcased their dominance with a commanding 3-1 victory against West Ham at Etihad Stadium, securing their fourth consecutive English league title.

The win marked a historic achievement as City became the first team to achieve this feat in the Premier League era.

The game started with high stakes, as City needed a victory to maintain their lead over Arsenal, who were closely trailing by two points with a superior goal difference.

Phil Foden wasted no time, putting City ahead just two minutes into the match. Foden later added another goal before halftime, showcasing his prowess on the field.

Although West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus managed to pull one back, City’s midfielder Rodri extended their lead with a well-placed shot from the edge of the area in the 59th minute.

Despite a late scare when West Ham had a goal disallowed by VAR, City’s victory was never in jeopardy, highlighting their dominance throughout the match.

This triumph marked City’s remarkable run of 19 wins and four draws since their last league defeat in December.

Their consistency and excellence have been unparalleled, with City now claiming six out of the past seven Premier League titles, joining an elite group of clubs in English football history.

The win also secured a unique achievement for Pep Guardiola’s team, becoming the first men’s side in 136 years to win the English league title four seasons in a row.

Looking ahead, City aims to further etch their name in history by attempting to complete the domestic Double in successive seasons when they face Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley on 25th May.
