The 2024 UEFA European Championship comes off tonight as host nation Germany battles it out against Scotland.

Germany is considered the top contender in a group that includes Hungary and Switzerland.

They faced a tough last-16 elimination by England.

The summer’s championships mark Die Mannschaft’s first Euros post-Joachim Low and only their second tournament since the World Cup-winning boss left after Euro 2020.

Despite a slow start under Nagelsmann, the hosts are entering the opening act with momentum, having won three and drawn one of their four friendly matches in 2024. As hosts, they did not have to go through qualifying.

However, this also means they have not played competitively since the 2022 World Cup.

Scotland, on the other hand, had a successful Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, including wins against former champions Spain, but their recent form has dipped, with just one win in their last games.

Nagelsmann from Germany had to deal with losing Aleksandar Pavlovic due to tonsillitis.

Emre Can is set to replace him, and it’s likely that Kroos and Andrich will form a partnership in the center tonight.

On the other hand, Scotland faced injuries, with Lyndon Dykes having to withdraw from the squad, impacting their frontline. Liverpool’s Ben Doak also had to pull out due to a knee issue.

The match will kick-off at exactly 7:00pm local time.

Possible Line-ups:

Germany possible starting lineup: Neuer, Kimmich, Tah, Rudiger, Mittelstadt; Kroos, Andrich, Musiala, Gundogan, Wirtz, Havertz

Scotland possible starting lineup:
Gunn, Hendry, Hanley, Tierney; Ralston, McTominay, Gilmour, Robertson, McGinn, Christie, Shankland
