One of the nine parliamentary aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Maame Yaa Aboagye, has expressed strong confidence in emerging victorious in the party’s primary on April 13.

Maame Yaa, who hails from Bonwire, a community within the constituency, stated that she is well-prepared to continue the legacy of the late Member of Parliament, John Ampontuah Kumah.

She emphasized that the late MP had initiated various programs to address unemployment, security, and infrastructure in the constituency, and she had actively participated in these initiatives.

As a result, she believes she is the best person to lead the party ahead of the constituency’s by-election and eventually become the legislator for the area.

Maame Yaa further explained that her slogan promotes peace and unity, and she is confident in her ability to unite and prepare the party for the 2024 elections.

She urged the delegates to give her the opportunity to lead.

The NPP parliamentary primary in the constituency has intensified with the entry of numerous individuals into the race, attracting considerable attention from both within Ejisu and beyond.

The aspirants who have picked nominations to contest in the primary include former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi, Helena Mensah, Dr. Evans Duah, Portia Abronye, Aaron Prince Duah, Maame Yaa Aboagye, and others.

The activity has drawn a large number of party supporters to the constituency, who are actively campaigning for their favorite aspirants.
