BloomByEdzi fashion brand founder Edzordzinam Agrosah is revolutionizing the way women feel in their clothes, with her customers describing her designs as their “second skin.”
She shared this in a recent interview on MX24 TV’s Fashion Wednesday with host Diana Edinam Kumbey.
This glowing customer feedback emerged from a survey conducted in early 2024. “We drafted a number of questions and sent them to several people who buy from us. And those were some of the words people mentioned—the comfort in the clothes and the fact that it felt like a second skin,” Agrosah revealed.
The designer’s journey to creating such comfortable pieces came through a valuable learning experience. “When I first launched BloomByEdzi, the majority of the things in the store were my size. And I had the shock of my life because most of the people buying were not my size,” she shared candidly.
This realization led to a complete transformation in her design approach. “Now when I’m creating designs, I think of my customers. Most of my customers are mostly sizes 12, 14, and 16. So now when I’m creating, I don’t think about myself anymore; I now think about them. What can I create for them to be comfortable with their body type?”
Agrosah’s design process is meticulous and customer-focused. “I could have a design in mind. Within the creating process, I need to do a first sample, tweak it a bit, and adjust it. I could start from A but will end up at Z,” she explained.
Her meticulous attention to detail includes thoughtfully considering diverse body types and features. She explains, “I’m constantly asking myself, ‘Will someone with this body type, shape, or size feel comfortable in this design?’”
The designer’s ultimate goal transcends mere clothing creation. “My whole goal is to make sure that the people who wear my clothes feel comfortable and also feel confident,” she emphasized, highlighting her commitment to both physical comfort and emotional well-being through her designs.
