The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has officially unveiled his campaign team ahead of the party’s upcoming internal elections.
The announcement follows what his camp describes as extensive nationwide consultations aimed at strengthening support for his candidacy across various levels of the party.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, May 13, the team described the campaign structure as a blend of experienced political figures and emerging party leaders, reflecting growing confidence in Chairman Wontumi’s bid.
Former Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, has been named Campaign Chairman, while former New Edubiase MP George Boahen Oduro will serve as Campaign Manager.
Other prominent members of the campaign team include George Mireku Duker, Stephen Amoah, Sarah Adwoa Safo, Moses Anim, and Justina Marigold Assan.
Also named in the team are Akua Afriyie and Palgrave Boakye-Danquah.
According to the statement, Archibald Cobbina will oversee field operations and delegates mobilisation, while Andy Owusu will handle campaign operations, including logistics, finance, and programme coordination.
The campaign structure also includes portfolios covering media and communications, political affairs, electoral strategy, welfare, external relations, and special operations, with coordinators assigned across the Middle Belt, Northern Belt, and Coastal Belt.
