Solomon Sarfo Taylor’s football career has been abruptly halted after he was handed a three-year ban by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

This ban prevents him from taking part in any GFA-organized matches or competitions for the next three years.

The ban was imposed due to his involvement in falsifying registration documents, leading to the revocation of his player license by the Disciplinary Committee.

Taylor’s journey saw him move to Asante Kotoko as a free agent after leaving the Danish club Vendsyssel FF, where he had only spent a year following his transfer from Karela United.

It appears that Taylor was looking for a transfer away from Kotoko before his contract ended in August 2023.

However, when he couldn’t secure the move, he took the matter to the player status committee.

Unfortunately, this decision led to accusations of fraud, resulting in the lengthy ban imposed on him.

This ban is a significant setback for Taylor’s career, especially considering he is 25 years old and in his prime years.

While he has the right to appeal, the severity of the ban raises doubts about his future in football and the possibility of him returning to his professional career.
