Rafimex Ghana Limited and Fairway Supermarket have renewed their support for Chef Abbys’ Big Street Feast, supplying food and drinks at the second edition of the event at Ghud Park, Accra Mall, on Friday, October 16, 2026.

Held in recognition of World Food Day, the initiative targeted free meals for 50,000 people across Accra and Kumasi under the theme “Wherever you are, free food will find you.” Last year’s edition served 20,000 people in the two cities.

Nicolina Naa Lamiley, a representative of Fairway Supermarket, said the company had supported the first edition and returned with products including Lucozade, Pure Heaven juice, bread and Ahmad Tea.

She explained that the company’s foundation regularly undertakes similar activities and that supporting Chef Abbys’ event was part of that work.

Abigail Ofosu Antwi, Head of Corporate at Rafimex Ghana Limited, said the company believed in the initiative and intended to support it over the long term as part of its corporate social responsibility.

She said Rafimex had brought 10,000 loaves of bread, 20,000 bottles of Lucozade and 20,000 cups of Ahmad Tea to support attendees. She added that the company had the resources and personnel needed to manage its contribution.

The Big Street Feast featured eight main food distribution points, including Ghud Park and Jubilee Park, while mobile Yango trucks extended distribution to areas such as Tema and Kasoa.

The renewed support from Rafimex Ghana and Fairway Supermarket forms part of their efforts to support community feeding and help address food insecurity through sustained corporate social responsibility initiatives.
