The Ghana Football Association has taken a thrilling stride towards advancing women’s football in Ghana with the unveiling of a brand new logo and mascot for their latest Women’s Football Strategy.

The mascot is called ‘Asantewaa the Fearless’ and it represents inclusivity and diversity.

The strategy which was launched in July this year aims to provide practical programs and interventions to develop women’s football in Ghana for the next few years.

The theme is “Empower Her Game” and it will run from 2023 to 2026, with a strong focus on grassroots football development and promoting women’s football in all aspects of the game.

Ama Brobbey Williams, the Head of Women’s Football Development, is leading the strategy to enhance and develop a brand strategy for women’s football.

The Women’s Football Strategy aims to bring about positive changes and advancements for women’s football in the country. This will not only strengthen the women’s football ecosystem in Ghana but also contribute to the growth and recognition of women’s football on a broader scale.
