The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended two executives from its Suhum Constituency for allegedly engaging in activities contrary to the party’s interests.

Samuel Baah, the Constituency Communication Officer, and Alhaji Bala Abubakar, the Deputy Constituency Nassara Coordinator, received their suspension letters from the Constituency Executive Committee (CEC).

In a statement issued on Tuesday, August 13 and signed by Constituency Secretary Stephen A. Odame, the CEC explained that the two executives were found guilty of violating the party’s constitution through actions deemed divisive and anti-party.

The committee cited several instances of misconduct, including campaigning against the party’s parliamentary candidate, organizing processions with anti-party messages, and submitting a petition urging the incumbent MP to run as an independent candidate. These actions were found to breach Articles 3(9)(1) and 3(5)(a)(2) and (4) of the NPP Constitution, leading to their suspension and loss of membership.
