President John Dramani Mahama is set to deliver his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

This address, a constitutional requirement, will offer insights into the country’s economic state, inherited challenges, and the administration’s strategy for economic recovery.

According to Felix Ofosu Kwakye, Minister of State in charge of government communications, the President’s speech will focus on Ghana’s current economic situation, detailing the legacy of the previous administration and the government’s roadmap for reviving the economy.

The address will set the stage for critical economic discussions, including the upcoming National Economic Dialogue, scheduled for March 3-4, 2025. This forum will bring together various stakeholders to propose solutions for economic transformation.

Also addressing the Nation is Finance Minister Casiel Ato Forson, who is expected to present the government’s first budget on March 11, 2025.
