Paris Saint-Germain has officially won the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 title, claiming a 1-0 victory over Angers at Parc des Princes on Saturday.

Desire Doue scored the decisive goal, ensuring PSG’s fourth consecutive league title and their 13th overall.

With six games still to play, the win marks a dominant season for Luis Enrique’s men.

PSG’s early title win is a remarkable achievement, with only one other team, PSG themselves in 2016, having previously secured the title with eight games to spare.

Notably, the club has never completed an unbeaten league season, but this season could see them achieve that milestone, becoming the first French team to do so.

If successful, PSG would join an exclusive group of European clubs to finish a season unbeaten, alongside the likes of Arsenal, Juventus, and Bayern Leverkusen.

In addition to their Ligue 1 success, PSG could finish the season with a quadruple.

The team has already won the French Super Cup and reached the Coupe de France final, where they will face Reims. In the Champions League, they are set to face Aston Villa in the quarter-finals.

PSG’s next match is against Aston Villa in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday.

While there are no league fixtures next weekend, the team will need to navigate matches against Le Havre, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg, Montpellier, and Auxerre to maintain their unbeaten run.

Paris Saint-Germain’s relentless pursuit of dominance in French football continues, and their early title victory showcases their continued superiority in Ligue 1.

With the possibility of an unbeaten season, a quadruple, and further European success, this could be one of the club’s most historic campaigns.

As the season progresses, all eyes will be on PSG to see if they can maintain their perfect form and finish the season with even more silverware.
