President Mahama to Host Grenadian Prime Minister for bilateral talks

President John Dramani Mahama is set to host the Prime Minister of Grenada, Honourable Dickon Amiss Thomas Mitchell, on Friday, October 17, 2025, at The Presidency for bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening ties between Ghana and Grenada.

Prime Minister Mitchell is expected to arrive in Accra on Thursday, October 16 at 4:00 pm, leading a high-level delegation for a two-day official visit.

His entourage will include Grenada’s Chief of Staff, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development, along with other senior government officials.

Shortly after arrival, the Grenadian delegation will take part in the inaugural Ghana-Grenada Political Consultation Meeting at Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The bilateral meeting with President Mahama will take place on Friday morning, followed by a State Luncheon in honour of the visiting Prime Minister.

Before concluding his visit, Prime Minister Mitchell will tour the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park later on Friday, after which he will depart the country.

Grenada is a volcanic island nation located in the Caribbean’s West Indies, with its capital in St. George’s. Ghana and Grenada have previously signed bilateral agreements, including visa waivers and cooperation in the areas of culture, trade, and education.
