Police begin Investigations into Ursula Owusu robbery incident

Unidentified individuals allegedly broke into the office of Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the outgoing Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma West Constituency, stealing several items and causing significant damage.

The Ghana Police Service has commenced an investigation into an incident in which a gang of about 15 men, allegedly invaded and vandalised the office and residence of the Minister of Communication and Digitalization, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.

In a statement released on December 9, the police indicated that the Crime Scene Management team had conducted a visit to the location as part of the ongoing investigation into the matter.

Unidentified individuals allegedly broke into the office of Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the outgoing Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma West Constituency, stealing several items and causing significant damage.

The incident reportedly occurred around 1:17 PM on Monday, December 9, 2024. Among the stolen items were an undisclosed amount of cash, a branded Nissan Hardbody vehicle, a television set, a printer, two stabilizers, mobile phones, food supplies, and three brand-new motorbikes.

The perpetrators also vandalized CCTV cameras, barbed wire, and the office door during the break-in.
