The bodies of all eight victims of the fatal Z-9 military helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6, have been flown to Accra and are now at the 37 Military Hospital awaiting interment.
The remains were recovered from the crash site near Sikaman in the Adansi Akrofuom area of the Ashanti Region and arrived in the capital aboard a Ghana Air Force Casa aircraft later that night.
Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, along with other dignitaries, received the bodies as clergy members offered prayers.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is currently ongoing, while preparations for the burial of the deceased have begun.
