The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced a comprehensive ban on all campaign-related materials ahead of its 2025 National Annual Delegates Conference, scheduled for Saturday, July 19, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

The directive, issued by Joseph Osei-Owusu, Chairman of the National Planning Committee, is part of efforts to maintain order, neutrality, and party cohesion during the high-profile event, which will bring together thousands of delegates from across the country.

“There shall be no billboards, banners, posters, flyers, T-shirts, or souvenirs with aspirant branding allowed at the venue or within Accra,” Mr. Osei-Owusu said.

He stressed that a total ban on campaign activities—before, during, and after the conference—would be strictly enforced across the entire event precinct.

To ensure full compliance, the party has set up a special grounds and operations team, supported by compliance monitors, who will patrol the stadium and surrounding areas.

“All such prohibited campaign materials shall be removed and destroyed by the team,” Mr. Osei-Owusu warned. “There will be no exceptions.”

The NPP leadership says the move is designed to ensure a level playing field for all party members and to shift the focus of the conference away from individual ambitions to the party’s broader strategic objectives.

This year’s conference comes at a crucial time for the NPP as it prepares for the 2026 general elections.

Party officials say the strict measures are necessary to foster unity and discipline within the ranks.
