The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released guidelines for the conduct of its upcoming parliamentary primary in the Ayawaso East Constituency of the Greater Accra Region.
In a press statement dated January 20, 2026, the party announced that nomination forms for the primary will be obtained from and submitted to the NDC’s Greater Accra Regional Office after completion.

The party explained that the official delegates’ list will be made available to aspirants only after verification that the approved filing fees have been paid into the party’s official account.
According to the NDC, nomination forms will cost GH₵5,000, while the filing fee has been pegged at GH₵40,000. Female aspirants and persons living with disabilities (PLWDs) will benefit from a 50 percent reduction in the filing fee.
Instead, all fees must be paid directly into the NDC’s official bank account at the UMB, Adabraka Branch.
The party added that the official timetable for the primaries has been attached to the notice and urged aspirants and other stakeholders to strictly comply with the outlined timelines.

The NDC also appealed to aspirants to conduct their campaigns with decency and fairness, and to promote unity throughout the process in line with the party’s commitment to internal democracy.
