Melcom Ghana Limited has donated assorted food items worth half a million Ghana cedis to the Office of the National Chief Imam to support the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan.

The donation, which forms part of Melcom’s annual corporate social responsibility initiative, is intended to ease the responsibilities of the Chief Imam’s office in providing meals for the less privileged and for Iftar gatherings throughout the fasting period.

The National Chief Imam expressed gratitude to Melcom for the continued support, praying for the company’s growth and success, as well as for the leadership of the organization. He also highlighted the importance of interfaith harmony and corporate support in strengthening social cohesion.

Executive Secretary to the National Chief Imam, Osmanu Seidu, commended Melcom for the gesture, noting that the items would have a significant impact on vulnerable Muslims during Ramadan.
Public Relations Officer for Melcom, Joseph Kpormegbey, explained that the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to community development and compassion, particularly during religious seasons.
He added that Melcom remains committed to supporting communities and promoting values of unity, generosity, and social responsibility.
The donation underscores Melcom’s long-standing partnership with the Office of the National Chief Imam and its efforts to contribute to the welfare of the Muslim community during Ramadan.
