Social media influencer and professional dancer Dancegod Lloyd has partnered with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, the UNFPA, and other key stakeholders to raise awareness on gender-based violence, particularly targeting women and girls.

The collaboration is part of this year’s national campaign themed “Unite: End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls in Ghana.”

The initiative aims to intensify education on gender-based violence, with a strong focus on addressing online abuse. Activities will be rolled out across all 16 regions, reaching communities, schools, institutions, and public platforms.

Speaking at the launch, Dancegod Lloyd said he feels a strong responsibility to use his influence for social impact.
“I have a huge youth following, and that comes with a duty,” he said. “I hope to use my voice and platform to amplify the message and make everyone feel safer online or offline”.

He added that digital abuse is becoming increasingly harmful, especially for young girls navigating social media spaces.
The campaign is expected to run nationwide throughout the 16 Days of Activism period, with a focus on community engagement, digital safety education, and empowering young people to speak out against all forms of violence.
