The Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces have pledged their commitment to restoring peace and stability in Bawku, its surrounding areas, and along the Bolgatanga-Walewale-Tamale highway.

In a press release issued on Sunday, the security agencies announced the deployment of joint Police and Military teams across these regions to address the tense security situation and ensure public safety.

The statement indicated that a concerned security presence in Bawku and its surroundings is being reinforced by additional joint forces along the major highway from Bolgatanga to Tamale. This deployment aims not only to maintain security but also to facilitate vehicular movement and regulate traffic flow in the region.
