Former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Yaw Owusu Obimpeh has emerged victorious in the Ashanti Regional Council of State election, securing a decisive win with 49 votes.
Obimpeh’s election comes after the suspension of the first election last week following a chaos that ensued during the process
The election results, announced on Monday, February 17, 2025, revealed that Obimpeh led the race with a significant margin.
Nkansah Boadu Nana Ayeboafo received 35 votes, while Daniel Anarfi Yamoah garnered only 1 vote. None of the other candidates received any votes
