The Bank Hospital has issued a formal response to public concerns following the death of Ghanaian music legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, who passed away at the facility on July 26, 2025.
In a statement released over the weekend, the hospital rejected claims circulating on social media suggesting a breach of medical confidentiality, stating that all aspects of the late musician’s treatment were handled professionally and ethically.
“The care provided to Mr. Charles Kwadwo Fosu was delivered with professionalism, dignity, and strict confidentiality,” the statement said.
The hospital further clarified that Daddy Lumba’s family was involved at every stage of his medical journey, and all procedures were carried out with their knowledge and consent.
The response follows online speculation alleging lapses in patient privacy at the facility. In light of these concerns, the hospital has announced an internal review to assess the circumstances surrounding his admission and treatment, with the aim of reinforcing its commitment to high standards of patient care.
Hospital management also urged the public to avoid spreading unverified claims and rely on credible sources for accurate updates.
The Bank Hospital concluded by expressing its deepest condolences to Daddy Lumba’s family, the government, and his fans in Ghana and beyond, describing the late musician as a national treasure whose legacy will live on.
