British-Ghanaian music producer Sammy Soso has joined the list of Ghanaians to give the country global recognition.
The British-based songwriter produced the song ‘Water’, which won the newly introduced category for the Grammys, the African Best Music Performance.
The new category was won by South African singer Tyla with her song ‘Water, produced by Sammy Soso.
The UK-based Ghanaian producer already had two Grammys nominations before his achievement at the 66th Grammys.
Sammy Soso’s talent extends beyond “Water,” as he also contributed to Wizkid’s Grammy-nominated album “Made In Lagos.
Tyla won the category after her song saw off competition from Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Olamide, Ayra Star and Musa Keys.
