Big Brother Naija All-Stars finalist, Mercy Eke, has spoken about her desire to start a family, saying she does not want to be a ‘Baby Mama’.
Mercy Eke disclosed this in an interview with media personality, Hero Daniels, when she was asked about dealing with loneliness.
“In as much as you want to be a boss lady, we just need that care, that somebody who just wakes up and checks on you. Someone who will be by your side and just do little things for you.
“At this point, I feel like I’m ready to settle down. I’m ready to have a family. I’m ready to have kids. I don’t want to be a baby mama. If I wanted that, I would’ve been one but no disrespect to ‘baby mamas’ but I’d rather be married first because I’m from a Christian home.
“Right now, I feel like I’m just ready for a baby first even as much as I want to be married, yeah husband dey hungry me but I feel like I’m much more ready to have a little one,” she stated.
Mercy also opened up about her struggles and humble beginning.
“I did farming with my mum and brothers. People will buy land like this and give us to farm, but I’ve never been the type to look for sympathy. I’ve done it all and I’m beginning to reap from my hard work,” the BBNaija Season 7 winner stated.
Speaking about her future plans, Mercy said she’s too ambitious and people make her feel like she’s greedy because she wants more.
Mercy Eke made history by becoming the first BBNaija housemate to make it to the show’s two finales, winning the coveted prize in 2019 and becoming the first runner-up in the just-concluded 2023 BBNaija All-Stars reality TV show.
