Renowned Reggae-Dancehall artiste, Samini (born Emmanuel Andrews Samini) has said legendary music producer, Fred Kyei Mensa told him at age 16 that, he was going to be a great music star after his first ever studio session at the Fredyma Studios.

Samini made the disclosure during an exclusive interview on MX24 Television’s prime morning show- the AM Club.

The iconic musician stated that, his first time ever hearing himself on a produced beat was in the studios of Fredyma. He noted that it was an amazing experience for him at the time.

“My first studio sessions were at Adabraka and Fredyma Studios, those were the demo days. Big ups to Rebo Sounds on the Russia Road. I use to go to Rebo sound to do my demos on cassette to cassete, you know that type of stuff. Then to Fredyman Studios where Legal Amamrie wanted to feature me, so they took me there, and that was actually the time I heard myself on a produced beat for a track. It was an amazing experience for I have not heard myself like that before.”

And Fredyma myself told me that with this voice at this age, you are going to be a star. And I know when he hears this, he will be excited. I was around sixteen or seventeen, a the time, I think” he added.
