“They Have Run Out Of Ideas, They Don’t Know What To Do,” -Mr Alex Segbefia

 The former Minister of Health under the of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, Alex Segbefia, says the current New Patriotic Party administration under the leadership of Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo has run out of ideas thereby, clueless.

In an interview on TV3,Mr Segbefia professed his thoughts on the Akuffo-Addo government’s execution of the “Agenda 111” project,calling it out as mere cluelessness.

They have run out of ideas,they don’t know what to do”. He said. “It has already failed in terms of the deadline. The President said 18 months, now he explains 18 months, from the day it starts.

“What is the meaning of, when I start? At least, let us have some 20 or 30 hospitals now running, they are a failure.” Mr Segbefia emphasised.

Prez Akuffo-Addo

The President Akuffo-Addo in his 28th address to the nation on measures taken to counter the Covid-19 pandemic stated, “There are 111 districts in the country with no district hospitals and we have to do something about it. The creation of the new regions also means government has to construct 6 regional hospitals for the 6 new regions and a befitting regional one for the Western Region and see to the construction of 3 new psychiatric hospitals for the coastal, middle and northern belts respectively and rehabilitate the Effia Nkwanta hospital in the Western region. This has led to the formulation and declaration of Agenda 111, the biggest ever investment in the nation’s healthcare sector.”

He went on to assure the citizenry, that work has been commissioned and all 111 hospitals promised will be completed before the end of his tenure of office as President.
