The Media Has Not Supported Asakaa – Jay Bhad

Kumasi based hip-hop and drill artiste Jay bahd has bemoaned the lack of media support for the Asakaa genre. In an interview on Mx24’s Mx Live, Jay Bhad attributed the low media interest to a lack of understanding of the Asakaa genre.

The ‘Y3 Y3 Dom’ hitmaker felt the genre was putting Ghana on the map globally and the lack of support was evidence of the disinterest in growing the industry.

“We did what we did not for ourselves but to take Ghana on the next level so I don’t know why we’re not getting the massive support from the media”

Jay Bahd denied reports that Asakaa movement boys were recalcitrant for cancelling media interviews.

“There’s no way I’ve been called for an interview and I didn’t show”

Jay Bahd is currently promoting his new single ‘Bad Man’ which was released on September 29.
