SHSs to reopen on Feb 7, basic schools on Jan 18

The Ghana Education Service has announced tentative re-opening dates for basic and senior high schools.

Second and third-year students in second-cycle schools will be heading back to school on February 7, 2022 while first years will report on April 4, 2022.

All students in basic schools will return to school on January 18.

The delay in releasing the reopening date had caused concern among stakeholders as private institutions have long begun academic work.

Notable on the calendar is the gradual phasing out of the double-track system.
