Shattawale’s Court Case Adjourned

The Accra Circuit Court has adjourned the case of Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah, popularly known as Shattawale, to the 25th of May, 2022.

The artiste with three of his body men were arrested and charged with the publication of false news and abetment of criminal publication of false news respectively, shortly after they staged a report of him getting shot.

Shattawale including his three accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Shatta’s personal assistant, Eric Vanetor, a graphic designer, and Iddrisu Yussif, a beautician, all pleaded not guilty to the charges during their court appearance, which followed with a bail grant, and a pending trial.

Shattawale stands at getting fined, cautioned or facing a three year jail time if found guilty by the court of law.

His Honour Emmanuel Essandor, during the last court sitting adjourned the case to the 25th of May,2022, as Shattawale was out of the country and Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey,the prosecutor in charge was also away on national assignment.
