President Akufo-Addo intervenes for 8 dismissed Chiana SHS girls

After several pleads for clemency for the 8 dismissed Chiana SHS girls, President Akufo-Addo has intervened in the situation.

The 8 students were captured on video using derogatory and unprintable words on the person of the President of the country, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. After the video went viral on social media, the identified students were initially suspended by the authorities and subsequently dismissed by the Ghana Education Service (GES).

According to a statement released by Ministry of Education on Friday morning, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made a move after his attention was drawn to it.

Following the intervention by President,  Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has directed Ghana Education Service (GES) to revise its decision.
