Police gun down five suspected land guards in Gomoa Feteh, two others on the run

Five persons suspected to be land guards have been shot dead by police in Gomoa Feteh in the Central Region.

The incident occurred on Monday Dawn around 1 am .

The five were allegedly hired to kill Nana Abor Atta , the chief of Gomoa Feteh.

The armed men boarded a taxi with registration number GG 3427 – 21 to execute their mission but a tip off gave police ample time to ambush them. A shoot out led to death of five of the suspected armed robbers. Two others managed to flee the scene and are currently on the run.

Guns and bullets were retrieved from the scene of the shoot out.

The bodies of the deceased have since been deposited at the Police Morgue awaiting autopsy and further investigation.

Police are currently on a manhunt for the other two.
