[PICTURES] MX24 TV gets results: Koforidua Jackson Park gets facelift after reportage
The Jackson Park in the Eastern Region has seen a major renovation months after MX24 TV reported on its deplorable state.
The facility, situated in the regional capital, Koforidua had been wasting away due to neglect by city authorities.
A visit to the park by MX24 TV’s Evans Cudjoe, revealed tattered ceilings, dangerously exposed electrical wires, damaged walls and leaking pipes.
Chambers meant to be offices for the facility were also being occupied with filth.
About 2 months after the report, substantial renovation of the Park has been completed.
The renovated facility can now serve its intended purpose including providing a space for social gatherings, parades for security personnels, religious activities among others, which could help the New Juaben South Municipality generate more revenue.
