Patronage of Gospel Songs low in the Country – Siisi Baidoo

Gospel Artiste, Siisi Baidoo has bemoaned the low patronage of gospel music in Ghana. According to him, the public barely pays attention to the gospel music genre and hardly listens to it as much as they do with secular music.

‘We don’t get a lot of eyeballs because you are doing gospel. And because it is tagged as religious, we don’t get the masses paying attention to it,’ he noted.

The worshipper however noted that despite the low patronage, he is still focused on producing more gospel music to bless souls.

Speaking on THE AM CLUB on MX24 TV, He further disclosed that his recent song, ‘The Promise’ was inspired by a trying moment in his life.

‘It is a song that really blesses me, I was going through a very tough time sometime last year. And it was one of those mornings that I was going through that moment and God dropped that song in my spirit,’ he revealed.

Siisi is hoping to collaborate with Joe Mettle, MOG Music and Diana Hamilton.
