Over 1000 PPP Members Switch To NDC

Some executives and supporters of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) in Wa have defected to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to help win power from the governing New Patriotic Party at the 2024 elections.

The members, over 1000 in number, involves the entire members of PPP members in the 11 constituencies. The decision to joint the NDC was announced during a welcome ceremony at Wa in the Wa Technical Institute in Wa.

Speaking at a brief swear-in for some defectors in Wa, the General Secretary for the NDC, Asiedu Nketia urged all democratic parties in the country to rally with the NDC to win power from the ruling party and rebuild Ghana.

The former secretary of the PPP also urged all members of the party across the country to support the NDC, to seize power from the NPP government.
