Otto Addo believes Ghana can cause upset at 2022 World Cup
Otto Addo believes Ghana are facing a challenge in qualifying for the knockout stages of the 2022 World Cup, however, he thinks Black Stars can still cause an upset.
Black Stars, who are the lowest ranked team at the tournament have been paired with Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in Group H.
Ghana will take on Portugal in their first game on November 24 before playing South Korea and Uruguay on November 28 and December 2 respectively.
“Everything is possible. As I’ve said, we have three strong opponents in our group. If we don’t perform as we need to, or if we’re not able to implement our tactics then it’ll be very difficult,” coach Otto Addo told FIFA.
“Especially because Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic are very strong opponents with qualities on and off the pitch. It will be difficult to compete with them but, as I’ve said, we have the quality to beat them. If we progress from the group, anything is possible.”
