NDC To Elect Flagbearer In November
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to hold its elections to select a flagbearer for the party come November, 2022, for the 2024 general elections.
It was said towards the end of of the National Executive Committee meeting held in Accra, that there will be a lower-level elections held to select branch, ward, constituency and regional heads. It was also said that membership verification and update of registered members will be carried out until May 15, 2022. Registration of new members is also opened from May 21, 2022 to June 7, 2022.
Its is highly expected that former President John Dramani Mahama, will contest for the flagbearership position and very much possible, come out victorious.
The former President who has in recent times made known his dissatisfaction in the current government, made some promises to pull down some policies and acts when elected into power as president come 2024 to lessen the burden of the Ghanaian people.
“The new National Democratic Congress government, God willing, with the votes of the sovereign people of Ghana, in 2025 will repeal the E-Levy act,” he said when he addressed Ghanaians on the theme ‘Ghana At A Crossroads’, on Monday, May 2, 2022.
