“My Thing Was, Just Not Having Protection…” – Jada P. Smith

On this week’s of Red Table Talk, Will Smith’s Oscars moment when he walked up stage and slapped Chris Rock on the face for making a G.I. Jane joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith was again brought to light.

The incident has since given the future career of the renowned actor a blurry look.

Fans have been anticipating getting to know how the situation has been in the home of the Smiths ever since the incident but have received not much information.

Jada however passed some rather interesting comments in the recent Red Table Talk episode. Jada stated that her “biggest wound” was feeling as though she was unprotected, which is something that has been in her subsequent relationships.

“My thing was, just not having protection. That’s my biggest wound that comes out in all my relationships, and I’ve looked for for the craziest kind of protection, and don’t have a really good sense of what’s safe and what’s not…I’m extremely protective or extremely defensive”, Jada said.

Adrienne Banfield-Norris, Jada’s mother said she believes her daughter developed this feeling after the passing of her grandmother and also found her security through her (Adrienne’s) mother.
