MX24 TV gets results for Tidandoo M/E Primary School

A religious leader in the Mion District of the Northern Region, Bishop Vernde Grant, has cut sod for the construction of a three, 2-storey classroom blocks for the Tidandoo M/E Primary School in the district.

This gesture follows the Bishop’s sighting of a reportage by MX24 News’ David Takal Dana, on the school’s existing dilapidated structure. Bishop Grant visited the community subsequently and decided to embark on this project.

Last year, a storm ripped apart the entire school building and no reconstruction had been that since the incident. Staff and students had no choice than to gamble with their lives while teaching and learning in that structure.

The classroom project, when completed will serve fourteen adjoining communities within the District.

Speaking to MX24 News during the sod cutting ceremony, Bishop Grant noted that his motivation for this project to help children in the community realise their full potential.

He further called on NGOs and other philanthropists to help both in cash and in kind to help develop Tidandoo.

As expected, members of the community are elated about the intervention and hopeful for the prospects it will offer them, especially the children.
