Mahama Postpones Filing Of Nomination Due To Party’s ‘’True State Of The Nation Address’’

Former President and NDC Flagbearer Hopeful, John Dramani Mahama has postponed his filing of nomination for the NDC’s presidential primaries to Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 1pm.

This comes as a response to a request from the party due to an upcoming event. The National Democratic Congress begun filing of nominations for presidential and parliamentary aspirants who picked forms to contest in the upcoming primaries.

The process which begun on Monday March 20, will end on Wednesday, March 22 2023. However, a dispensation was given to sitting MPs which allows them to file their nominations from Saturday March 18, 2023 to enable them be in Parliament on Tuesday.

According to a release signed by the spokesperson to the presidential aspirant, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the decision was arrived at after the request by the party to reschedule the date due to the presentation of the party’s ‘’True State of the Nation Address’’ on Monday at the UPSA Auditorium. National Democratic Congress (NDC) aspiring presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, will file his nomination to contest the 13th May 2023 primaries on Tuesday at 1.00pm.

Originally planned for Monday, the John Mahama Campaign says it is very sorry for the postponement, which is in response to a request from the party to reschedule because of the presentation of the party’s True State of the Nation Address on Monday’’.  The statement said.
