“Komenda Sugar Factory Set To Undergo Test Run By The End Of July” – Alan Kyeremanten

The Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen has disclosed that the Komenda sugar factory is set to undertake a production test run by the end of July this year.

Speaking on the floor of parliament, the sector minister assured that major works have been completed and a four-acre land has been prepared to support the production of sugarcane to run the facility.

The Komenda Sugar Factory, was commissioned by former President John Dramani Mahama before the 2016 election. It has since been inactive due to insufficient raw materials to fuel the factory.

However, Hon. Alan Kojo Kyeremanyen has assured that the factory will soon begin running, and jobs will become available for the youth through the process.

He also stated that a four-acre plot of land is in preparation to help feed the factory with raw materials.
