“I Was Poisoned On Set” – Nana Ama McBrown

There have been multiple stories about the Ghana movie industry been to an extent dark and not appealing. These are stories about jealousy, envy and backstabbing of one another. 

Nana Ama McBrown in an interview revealed how she almost lost her life on set during a shoot at Kenkansu, after sharing a meal with a colleague.

She explained, that they were shooting a movie in Kumasi when they took a break to eat. According to her, she shared her food with this colleague whose name she kept off the chart. She then noticed she was having terrible stomach pain a few minutes after eating the food with the said colleague who left right after eating.

She was rushed to Kenkasu hospital but since there was no doctor, she was taken to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where she was taken care of.

Nana Ama took the chance to advise people who want to be actors and actresses to be persistent and persevere because every industry has its challenges but success is the ultimate goal.
